We exist to create happy drivers through all-inclusive subscription solutions. And we believe that happy subscription drivers make happy fleet owners, too. It's a virtuous cycle of empowerment, really: we empower fleet owners to give their customers a worry-free way to get on the road. Everybody wins.


Who we are

With a combined 40+ years of experience in the automotive industry, our team delivers top notch customer experience, best-in-class consumer fleet management technology and operational systems & services – everything it takes to make drivers and fleet owners happy.

We've got all the startup ingredients: technologists, data nerds, UX architects, field team, finance wizards and customer happiness specialists. We've even got our own ping pong table. We're (mostly) all proud Atlantans, but our team is growing fast.


What we do

In 2017, Flexdrive launched our first partnerships with local dealerships. In Atlanta, Austin and Philadelphia, drivers can now subscribe to dealer-owned vehicles for non-commercial use — and we've got more dealer partnerships in the works.

Drivers can access their “own” car, by subscribing a week or a month at a time, with insurance, maintenance and roadside assistance included. But that's just one way Flexdrive works. Today, Flexdriveʼs platform can enable any fleet owner — from a large franchise dealership group to a local independent dealer and beyond — to offer their vehicle for subscription, an option that eliminates what drivers dread the most: price negotiations, unattainable loans with high down payments or interest rates, and lengthy paperwork, not to mention surprise insurance and maintenance costs.


The Flexdrive App is a marketplace & technology platform to power the driver experience, including applications, reservations and subscription management The F1 Fleet Management Portal is a dashboard giving operators visibility into every aspect of their fleet and their customers, including setting pricing and managing vehicle and subscriber records. 

In addition to our off-the-shelf subscription solutions, we also build customizations, integrations — or even full custom products — according to the needs of fleet operators and their consumers.


Our story 

In 2014, Flexdrive was founded by Jose Ignacio Puente within the Cox Automotive Strategy & Innovation Groupʼs startup incubator program. A leader in consumer-facing Automotive Media & Technology, Cox Automotive quickly recognized that Flexdrive meets a very real consumer demand for a no-strings-attached alternative to ownership. With the support of Cox Automotive, Flexdrive pioneered our subscription-based technology platform and leveraged it to put hundreds of drivers on the road in just a yearʼs time.


In April 2017, Flexdrive graduated from Cox Automotiveʼs Strategy & Innovation Group. Flexdrive is now an independent startup, jointly funded by our partners Cox Automotive and Holman Enterprises. Holman operates not only Holman Automotive, the 16th largest dealership group in the United States, but also ARI, a global leader in vehicle fleet management. With the combined expertise and resources of these two powerhouse partners behind us, Flexdrive is uniquely positioned to own the category of mobility subscription solutions. 

Subscriptions are the future

We subscribe to movies, groceries, even razors — so why not cars?

Flexdrive addresses the pain points of traditional car buying and ownership by offering drivers a weekly or monthly subscription to the car of their choice. Instead of being stuck with a car they may not use daily, drivers can subscribe to a car when they need one and relax when they don't. 

Drivers download the Flexdrive app, select a vehicle, pay, and schedule a pickup time. Insurance, maintenance and roadside assistance is included in each subscription within a single, predictable fee.
